This agreement outlines our common and individual responsibilities regarding volunteers participating at volunteer station named above and MAHUBE-OTWA CAP.
Volunteer Station Responsibilities:
- Interview and make final decision on assignment of volunteers.
- Implement orientation, in-service instruction, and/or special training of volunteers.
- Provide for the adequate safety of volunteers
- Communicate with MAHUBE-OTWA CAP changes, including termination of volunteers or changes in key staff.
- Collect and validate volunteer reports
- Investigate and report any accidents and injuries involving volunteers.
- Insure that employees are not displaced through volunteer activities
- Prohibition of Discrimination
- Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodation
MAHUBE-OTWA Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment and refer volunteers to the volunteer station as appropriate, final acceptance of a volunteer rests with the volunteer station
- Provide support for volunteers and participating agencies including recognition, volunteer orientation, technical assistance and consultation.
Separation from volunteer service may occur at any time upon request of the volunteer, the volunteer station, or by mutual agreement of all parties involved.
MAHUBE-OTWA does not conduct criminal or other background checks of prospective volunteers but recommends that volunteer stations do when volunteers are assigned to work with vulnerable populations.
This agreement is not a legal, binding contract and may be amended at any time. The agreement stands for a three-year period of time.
This Agreement contains all the terms and conditions agreed upon by the contracting parties. No other understanding, oral or otherwise, shall be deemed to exist or to bind any of the parties.
